Dakhla Attitude

If you planning a kitesurf trip to Dakhla or even just for leisure, you must READ THIS!! I am a solo traveler and this resort made feel like I was home with my best friends and family. I had the best experience ever with the best staff ever. The hotel has the best location and the best view in dakhla. If sunset is your favorite color then THIS IS IT!! I want to Thank instructors Hamza (Rouicha), Abdelrahman, Amine, Ziko as well as the coordinator Ahmed and the kitesurfing Manger Badr who were very professional, friendly and were ready to do anything possible to get you standing on the board in your first 6-8 hours if it’s your first time kitesurfing. I also want to thank the bartenders Hamza, Hakim, Ftah, Karim and Hicham for making me feel like I was traveling with my best friends, they will always come check on you and they will make sure that you have everything you need before they leave you. Also, the servers Ismail and Gabriel are the quickest and the nicest. Dj Youssef played the best tracks ever and was able to play all the songs that were requested by all guests, No exceptions. Thanks to Ahlam at the reception for helping me resolve a lil issue with the payment at the check out. Thank you Ahmed the engineering manager for making fast Internet available in the middle of the desert. Forgive me if I forgot anyone as I couldn’t count the kindness and the amazing hospitality that was offered by everyone. After all, this whole experience was remarkable in the best way ever and all the credit goes to Mr Driss Snoussi who started this 20 years ago and was able to create the best vibes ever in dakhla. thank you again!! If your plan is a kite trip, this hotel is what you’re looking for. It’s not a 5-star resort, so if you’re expecting all the luxuries like shampoo, lotion, or a toothbrush, forget it. You have to keep in mind that you’re in the middle of the Sahara Desert and that it’s a paradise destination for kiteboarding. They also have the best kite service I’ve seen in all my years of kitesurfing. All the school’s staff are top-notch and super friendly, but the cherry on top, and by far the best instructor I’ve ever met in my life, is Ibra. If you go to Attitude and want to become a kite pro, Ibra is your guy. In just 3 days, he took me from water start to jumping in transitions. He’s a genius and the best at explaining things. At the rental spot, Fátima and Simo are lovely — they explain everything and help you with whatever you need! And I can’t forget to mention Lamin, who helped me untangle my kite lines a hundred times — he’s a genius!

Thought I'd try a different venue for the annual pilgrimage to Morocco for kite foiling fun and stumbled into this gem of a place at the end of the peninsula... directly opposite where I have attempted to foil on the previous 2 year's trip to the region. Attitude has a positive feeling about the place, and far more focused on teaching than other resorts I have been to. As a consequence, the middle of the beach is saved for them ( inherently sensible and fair) with free kiting down wind to them and winging/windsurfing upwind to the north. As a kite boiler, there's an element of being a bit of a pariah, where you don't belong to either gang and rig up with the kiters, but then have to get your board from the wing foiling section. Whilst it's a first world problem, and there's a quad bike trailer combo to take it to the water, it did make me feel a little excluded. Fortunately however, the general feel of the resort is cohesive and I was adopted by the wing foilers.... which was nice. The accommodation is clean, tidy and comfortable. The shower can be toasty warm, but can also be a little tepid depending on time of day and usage... which is to be expected. The staff on the beach are totes friendly and keen to help, whilst the team in the rental/lesson building are knowledgeable and... most importantly for me, able to conduct high quality repairs for a reasonable price....in Euros. The kite inflation system is plentiful (4 hoses) although can be a little lacking in the pressure front, resulting in a comedy queue with usual nations joining the aforementioned queue whilst others (again expected) barge to the front! You do have to love European stereotypes,🤔 It's a similar gag with food, which is both plentiful and high quality. A BBQ seems to be on for lunch and dinner, supplemented by a huge medley of salad and some other cooked meats/pasta/ vegetables etc. All in all, some pretty good feeding.

Staff is super nice and caring, food is great, ambiance is excellent and the location is the best in Dakhla far from road and super close to the kite spot. It’ s my second time there and I really recommend this resort. They have super quality Duotone or North gear for the kite and for sure lots of wind (August is one of the best season). And in August temperature is not super hot making life there easy.

The location is in the middle of nowhere next to the lagoon. It is a very peaceful location. The food/buffet was delicious. Multiple persons I spoke were also highly positive about the food. It is one of the better kite aimed accomodations in Dakhla. That being said, the accommodation is really focused on kitesurfing. Expect friendly staff and friendly fellow travelers. Even when there was no wind they organised surf trips etc.. Thanks to Hamza for the good days on the water. I will visit this place again someday.
